Step 2:
After adding all the items you wish to purchase, click on the link 'Proceed to Next Step'. If you are a first time shopper, you will have to register with us by creating a new account and filling in the personal information in the fields provided. If you are a repeat shopper, you will have to log in using your login name and password.
Step 3:
After adding all the items you wish to purchase, click on the link 'Checkout' if it is a product purchase or click on the link 'Send to the Above Address'. While confirming the order you have to choose the preferred payment option and then click on the link 'Complete Your Order'

What is a shopping bag?

The shopping bag is a virtual carry bag that displays the number of items you have chosen to purchase along with the total purchase amount. This is displayed as a small window located at the left-hand top corner of your webpage. This window also provides links to view the details of the items you have chosen - 'View Details and to confirm your purchase 'Checkout'.
You can update your order by adding / removing items, etc. in the shopping cart once you click on the link ' Details'.

How do I update an order?

You can make the following changes to your current order in the shopping cart:
- Add/deduct the quantity - To add or deduct the quantity of a particular item, click in the box where the 'Quantity' is mentioned, change the quantity and click on the link 'Change Quantity'.
- Delete an item - To delete an item from the shopping cart, click 'Remove' option to delete that item.

All items in our Music Shop and Books Shop are delivered worldwide using Federal Express service. However, certain books and music titles published in India may have restrictions (placed by publishers) that allow us to make delivery only within India- this information is placed next to each title.

How is my order delivered to me?

Our logistics partners will attempt delivery of the items thrice. Incase the delivery is not executed during these three attempts, due to a wrong address or the recipient being unavailable / premises being locked, the customer shall still be charged for the order.
In case of perishable items, the delivery will be attempted only once due to the nature of the item.
Please note that the delivery of the items will not be attempted on Sundays or on any public holidays due to unavailability of courier service

What is the lead time for delivery?

Orders from avoidmiddleman.com Shopping are delivered quickly anywhere in the world, by courier through our logistics partners. Subject to the availability of stock, our minimum lead-time for delivery of any product is as follows:
Within India: 3 - 4 working days
International: 7 - 10 working days
However, different products may have different delivery lead-times depending upon the vendors or the place of shipment. This is mentioned on various webpages. Also, the delivery is not attempted on Sundays and public holidays, since there is no courier service available on these days.
In case there is no courier service to the address mentioned in the order, the order will be cancelled and the same will be intimated to you by email.

You can search for a particular product or a brand using our Search, which is available on each and every Webpage within avoidmiddleman.com Shopping. To search for any product or brand of your choice,
- Enter the keyword in the box. The keyword can either be a product (e.g. t-shirt, necklace, flower, cake, etc.) or it can be brand (e.g. McGrath, Nike, Pantaloon, etc.) or it can also be a title of the book or the music album.
- Select the category that you would like to product to be searched in. This category may either be a shop (e.g. All shops, Music shop, Bookshop, etc.) or it can be a particular product category (e.g. Apparel, Confectionery, Jewellery, etc.).
- Click on the 'Go' link to generate the search results.
The search results will show the first level details of the particular item with a link to view further details for that item and to add the item to your shopping bag.

At The avoidmiddleman.com we use a 'cookie' system to identify your shopping basket. When you place a book in your shopping basket, a 'cookie' is issued to your computer to define your basket. It holds an ID number that is used to identify your personal shopping basket held in our secure server. The shopping basket holds the titles and details of the product(s) that you have chosen to order. When you reach the check out, our order system takes a look at your cookie, identifies your shopping basket and displays the information on your screen. So you can then confirm your order and we can process it.
Some browsers may not have a cookie facility. To make life easier for our customers, we have a set up a special email address for those who experience problems with the cookie system! What do I do if my browser crashes?

Browsers crash for any number of reasons. We recommend that you restart your browser and attempt to reconnect to the shop. If you have items in your shopping basket, they should still be there. If your browser crashes while you are trying to place an order, it would be wise to check its status by clicking on My Orders to make sure that the order is correct once you get back on to the site.
